In early November, CSD was excited to attend Pack Expo in Chicago. It was an informative, educational and fun-filled three days in the Windy City.
With over 70,000 people in attendance, there was a lot of networking to be had and friendships that were made.
This year a mobile app was launched and ended up being a fantastic tool that allowed attendees to navigate around the expo with ease and efficiency. The app allowed for easier navigation during the show and mapped out where all of the exhibitors were located.
During the show, our focus was placed squarely on end-of-line equipment and the processes that go along with the equipment. While we were in attendance we are excited to say that we were able to make contact with a few key vendors that we think will develop into some fantastic relationships. In chatting with some of the vendors at the show we found some new ways to manage barcodes as well as control virtually, any print device from a central control point.
Additionally, we took the steps to expand our existing relationship with Arrowhead Systems, they will be providing conveyor and palletizing equipment to us. We were able to also identify some manufacturers that presented unique methods for accumulation and sortation of products.
